Turn off ps4 after download complete

It won't continue to download if it's completely off, no. It will resume where it last was once you re-plug it back in and turn it on, yes. It's a bit more complicated than the title. I'm trying get to download GTA5 as fast as possible, but it's taking forever. I want to move it into a different room to hook it up to ethernet, but it downloaded about a gig, and is now downloading the rest of the game from inside the game. It says installing, and I don't know if I should turn it off.  · If you put your console in rest mode it will download through the night while you sleep. If you turn it off it should resume from where it left off when you turn the system back on, it may take a minute or two for the progress bar to reflect the real progress but it shouldn't have to redownload the entire update or file.

To set the amount of time your PS4™ system can remain idle before it either enters rest mode or turns off, select (Settings) [Power Save Settings] [Set Time Until PS4 Turns Off]. No, there isn't and it is a shame.o I think this was a great feature on the previous consoles. You could leave the console semi-off and would turn itsef completely off when finished, saving energy. Select the General (Games) option and select after how much idle time your console will go off: After 1 Hour, After 2 Hours, After 3 Hours, After 4 Hours, or After 5 Hours.
